hello from (sort of) holidays
This month, I’ve decided to post simple stuff, because I’m on holiday-ish. That’s to say, I’m done with some work (and done commuting!) but busy with other work—purely my creative work. Otherwise, I’m 100% on holiday—that’s “vacation” in U.S. English…
I usually draw faces while watching YouTube. It’s meditative, and I try out anything I feel like. Last night, after some pencil and graphite sketches, I just let go with the Inktense pencils (Derwent, an obsession) and a water brush.
The result pleases me a lot. Kinda moody, lots of texture.
I did it on absolutely the wrong paper, a regular sketching pad. “Should” have used watercolor paper, but that would’ve required getting up and scrounging around for it. It’s August, and I just couldn’t be bothered.
